Description:

lindblom Post-Graduate Online Writing Lab ::: Aristotelian Analysis :::::: Specialized writing ::: The basic concept is a writing course with the creative idea of writing an open letter or a biography. To whom it may concern is a central focus. A strong suggestion is: "Dear Aristotle." If you prefer, you can learn how to write a good biography. Peripheral foci in the course would focus on writing in psychology, law and the psychology of law in terms of the writing used in those areas.

NOTE: Thanks for your participation, Lindblom

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Generally, students want to know what to expect from a course (ahead of time).

The process for this course is to use a service such as http://www.bravenet.com to create your own website. Once you have done that, write an open letter to a person of your choice (such as Aristotle). Email the h2o project leader with the URL of your new website. Below, you will find an example of how that is done.

As can be seen, the technique of "Dear Aristotle" is not being created here per se but introduced to a new group of people perhaps. Amazing!

************************************

In weeks to come, the thesis shall develop. Base your open letter or biography on the following highly modified Aristotelian algorhythm.

(Hint: Please don't assume you know the definitions for the following terms. They are technical jargon terms and must be researched. Google is good.)

The Scientific Method:

1. identify researchable problem

2. derive hypothesis

3. literature review of research

4. develop methodology

5. data collection and analysis

6. analysis

7. falsification

8. results & conclusions

9. interpretation
