Hypotheses:

1) "The whole of human society develops in accord with definite laws;

2) A truly therapeutic procedure cannot have less an objective than the whole of mankind."

Question: Of what is the heart of the world composed?

Warm-up

The question is asked of the group members. "Of what is the heart of the world composed?" If a protagonist centered psychodrama is desired, a presenting problem is indentified. If a group centered psychodrama is desired, a concensus is formed.

As a suggestion (Psychodrama Training Tips I. style), empty chairs can be used for each heart the group members identify. See Warner for a complete description.

Chairs on stage can be as elaborately or simply arranged as desired. The process can be as complex as sociodrama or as action sociometry or as simple as a way to warm the group to action quickly. The goal, here, is to show in action. "Show me an action-in that way you show me what your concern is." Zerka Moreno

It is the director's decision to speed or slow the process.

At this point, there are many director's decisions to make quickly in total spontaneity. "Spontaneity is a new response to an old situation or an adequate response to a new situation." (Zerka Moreno) For example, to slow the process of the warm-up, each chair could have a sign indicating the heart name. Why? The director needs to monitor the progress of the psychodramatic trance that may be starting in an individual, several or the whole group!

Once the director can feel the pulse of the group and where they are going the director could proceed. There they go! I must follow them for I am their leader! You can go where your people are at their level whatever that may be. (See Zerka's Rules for a brilliant description of the concept.)

Then: Throw-out your thinking.

"Care to sit in a chair?" the director may ask. (For scientific reasons each director who attempts a Heart of the World Psychodrama asks the same exact questions verbatum.)

Here, next, the warm-up can become a heart modification of The Empty Chair Technique or, even more important, the group may go in another direction entirely leaving a Heart of the World Psychodrama for another time. "Don't think that because you build up a scene you've got to stick to it. You can change scenes. It's a moving panorama." Zerka Moreno

Hint: Go against that will and you've lost your group!)

~ Wish you well in all you may try.

b.) Specific cases are welcome. Reflection on application of theory and design methodology in theoretical research and action research including practical investigation of ideas, norms, and change strategies in Sociatry, Cognitive Science and in General systems theory.

A number of course support websites are offered (below). The support websites is where the information of the course is stored.
