Respond To Assignments

If any assignment (due/late/submitted) is available, an alert should appear on the Home page. Here's a list of the types of assignments you might see on that page:

Once you are on the assignment submission page, there are two kinds of assignments you may be responding to: response or ratings.

Add or Update a Project

To create a project, navigate to the Overview page (this can be accomplished by clicking on the Home tab). In the upper right hand corner of the Overview page you will see the Create a Project... quicklink. Clicking on this link will take you to the Create Project page. Fill out the various fields in the project creation form using these instructions: These same fields can be edited once a project has been created. To edit a project's information once it has been created, navigate to the particular project's View Project page (this can be accomplished by clicking the Home tab, then clicking the project's link in the "Your Projects" section of the menu bar directly underneath the navigation tabs). From the View Project page, click the "Project Info" link in the "Manage" section on the left hand side of the page.

General Project Management

If you are the leader of a project, you will find a Manage Project link in the Navigation section of the upper left hand corner of your project home page. Click on that link to access the Manage Project page, which contains links to edit your project information (description, name, permissions, etc), manage your project's content, accept and reject users to and from your project, add project announcements, and perform all other administrative actions for your project.

Edit a Project Syllabus

Every project includes a syllabus, which consists of a number of topics. Each of these topics contains a list of readings, a set of rotisserie discussions, and a message board. To edit this syllabus, simply click on the Syllabus in the upper left hand of that project's home page. If you are a leader of a project, that syllabus page will display links to edit the syllabus within the syllabus itself.

From the View Project page it is possible to view statistics for current project participants, and to drop existing participants from the project. Click on the Reigistrations link in the "Manage" section. Here are instructions describing what you can do with the page:

Managing Applicants

If your project has a policy of automatic approval, you won't need to worry about managing project applicants because they will be automatically admitted. However, if your project requires that all applicants be approved by the leader, you will need to manage project applicants. From the Project Participants page described above, click the Pending Applications link in the "Manage" section. From here you can accept, or reject project applications. Here are instructions describing what you can do with the page:

Create or Update a Rotisserie

The following help applies to both creating and updating a rotisserie. To get to the rotisserie creation page, click on the project link under "Your Projects" from the Home page, then click on the "Rotisserie Discussions" link in the upper left of the project page. If you are a leader, you should see a Add a Rotisserie Discussion link at the top of the page. Click on that link to get to the create rotisserie page.

To get to the rotisserie update page, click on the Rotisserie Discussions link on the project home page, click on the name of the rotisserie, and then click on the Manage Rotisseries link.

Viewing a Rotisserie

To get to the view rotisserie page, click on the Rotisserie Discussions link on the project home page and then click on the name of your rotisserie.
