Guide: Media

Introduction

H2O allows you to add audio, image, PDF, and video files to playlists. H2O does not host these files. You provide H2O with an HTML embed code or URL, and H2O then renders the file from its source server.

Any file that you embed in H2O is publicly accessible and must conform to the Terms of Service, including the Creative Commons license.

How to add a media item

To add a media item:

  1. Make sure that you have signed in.
  2. Click the Create button at the top of the screen.

    H2O displays the Create menu.

  3. From the Create menu, select the desired media type.

    For example, suppose that you select PDF.

    H2O displays the Add a New Media window.

  4. In the Add a New Media window, fill in the following fields:
    • -Name
    • -Public: If you do not select this option, the item becomes Private.
    • -Media Type: For this example, select PDF.
    • -Content: Fill in the embed code for the PDF in the format:

      Note the URL must be a secure (https) link to successfully embed.

      You can also copy and paste a direct URL to the PDF.

  5. Click Save.
