Starting in October 2004, the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School is launching the Internet & Society Idea Exchange, thus beginning to establish an online network of specialized yet intermingling communities, discussions and course development projects  The aim of this global initiative is to build shared understanding and cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research on specific topics centered around the Internet and its interaction with fields of study including policy, economics, law, arts, innovation, learning, and creativity.
