United States Courts is a general website explaining simply the basic of the courts the judicial branch.  The website helps clarify relations between the federal courts, and the federal and state courts, and types of possible cases such as appeals, bankruptcy cases, civil cases criminal cases etc.

This website is another general information page regarding the basics of the court systems and the differences between each of them.

Justice.gov gives an introdiction to the Federal Court system and its structure differential from district courts all the way to the Supreme Court.  The website also defines many helpful legal terms.
